Stallhagen is primarily a craft brewery. Craft beer makers are the world’s fastest growing group in the beer industry. Our beers are made solely from the original ingredients of malt, hops and yeast, together with pure, fresh water. Depending on the beer type, genuine honey, fresh berries or fruit may be added as a flavouring.
The fermenting process is completely natural, without the use of chemical additives. Stallhagen allows its beer to mature for the four to eight weeks required for the completion of the natural production process. The result is a completely natural product without unnecessary additives.
The Slow Food Movement and Stallhagen beers
Stallhagen supports the Slow Food movement, which was founded 1986 with the aim of giving pride of place to flavour and the senses. This movement has now spread to the whole of the world. It was birthed out of respect for local food traditions and as a support for small-scale producers of local raw materials. This is of fundamental importance for us. You are what you eat and drink!
Slow Food embraces the philosophy of enjoyment. It wants to defend the right to enjoy and increase respect for a humane rhythm of life and production.
